🧶 About the knitting process:
The OriLari  Cat is knitted in the round. The head, body, hind legs, and tail are worked as one piece. The ears and front legs are knitted separately and attached using invisible knitted seams. The eyes are embroidered using the satin stitch technique, and the nose is created with the dry felting method. All steps are thoroughly described, illustrated, and accompanied by video materials available on YouTube.

To knit OriLari Cat using this pattern, you will need:

  1. Yarn: The pattern includes recommendations for yarn selection (the main recommended yarn for predictable results and possible alternatives to bring other ideas to life).
  2. Circular needles with a cable at least 80 cm (optimal for Magic Loop knitting method) in the recommended size for the suggested gauge.
  3. Blunt-end needle (tapestry needle) and sharp-end needle (sewing needle).
  4. Scissors.
  5. Ready-made eyes or embroidery kit: embroidery floss, embroidery hoop, lighter.
  6. Ready-made nose or wool for felting with a felting needle.
  7. Embroidery floss for stitching the mouth.
  8. Waste yarn in two colors.
  9. Stuffing for toys.
  10. Markers.
  11. Fishing line

While knitting this pattern, you will encounter the following techniques:

– knit and purl stitches,

– provisional cast-on,

– increases from a stitch of the previous row,

– single, double, and triple decreases,

– various types and modifications of knitted seams,

–  short rows,

– gathered cast off.

The OriLari Cat is knitted mostly in the round using the Magic Loop method, though short rows are also used in the process.
