Goose Bruce is a little dignified, a little funny, and incredibly charming. He can sit, happily let you pull his legs in and out, and always seems ready to keep you company.

One of the most distinctive features of this project is its unique construction. The beak, head, neck, body, and tail are worked as one continuous piece, with no sewing required. The wings are picked up directly from the finished body at clearly marked locations, creating the illusion of seamless knitting.

The legs deserve special attention. They are knitted separately using a special construction and move freely inside the body, turning the goose into an interactive toy. You can gently pull them out, reposition them, or simply enjoy wiggling them. It’s this little detail that makes Bruce feel so lively and amusing. Hidden inside the heels are firm wool balls that give the feet extra shape and make interacting with the goose even more satisfying, adding a pleasant stress-relief effect.

The pattern includes two detailed options for making the eyes: classic embroidery or needle felting. Simply choose the method you prefer.

To knit Goose Bruce using this pattern, you will need:

Yarn (the pattern includes detailed yarn recommendations).
Circular knitting needles with a cable at least 80 cm (32 in) long, in a size suitable for your chosen yarn (ideal for the Magic Loop method). Optionally, you may also use two double-pointed needles (DPNs) for one stage of knitting.
Crochet hook.
Tapestry needle.
Scissors.
Waste yarn.
5 locking stitch markers (or pieces of contrasting yarn).
Toy stuffing.
Needle felting supplies (felting wool, felting needle, and felting mat) — optional.

While knitting this pattern, you will encounter the following techniques:
